Client: First-Time Home Buyer

Location: Petoskey, MI

 

This project focused on enhancing the functionality and overall appeal of a small, older home with limited storage. Following the purchase, the space was ready for updated finishes and thoughtfully scaled furnishings to create a more comfortable and livable environment.

Client’s requests:

            -New kitchen cabinets and countertop,

              layout needs to maximize use of small

              kitchen space

            -Install new flooring throughout

            -New color scheme must feel bright and clean

            -Storage wherever possible

            -Budget-friendly selections

           

To address these needs, the walk-through opening between the kitchen and living room was closed to create additional counter and cabinet space. In the living and dining areas, apartment-sized furnishings and practical storage solutions were introduced to maximize every square inch. A palette of light, bright tones was carried throughout, paired with pet-friendly rugs and layered lighting, all carefully considered within a set budget.
